With help from Middlemarch we have been reviewing small areas of land owned by North Somerset Council and are beginning to look at other possible sites within our district and surrounding areas. These are all in the early stages of review as are the types of property that could be used to the best advantage
of the Community.
We have an idea of how many housing units might be required – based on housing waiting lists for our area - and are discussing the means by which this number can be refined with NSC. We currently have a broad idea of how many housing units might be needed for our area. However to support any planning applications we will need more definitive information. To support this need,the NSC conducted a formal Housing Needs Survey in September 2022, supported by CLT members who also contacted some 400 local businesses. The outcome of the Survey is awaited by the CLT.
